The night before Christmas

It’s already Christmas Eve in Australia and Hong Hong where so many of my friends and family members live …

I always like to post this picture …

… by noted Canadian artist Sylvia Pecota who spent quite some time (2206 and 2008) embedded with the Canadian Forces in Afghanistan, as a reminder that while we enjoy Christmas at home with our friends and family members of our armed forces ~ Americans, Australians, Brits, Canadians and Kiwis, too, are deployed overseas or in ships or here at home but in the ready room, with a jet fighter parked just outside.

Merry Christmas to all our brothers and sisters in arms, you are in our thoughts and in our hearts.
