Dear Prime Minister

According to social media this is your plan for “jabbing” us with the COVID-19 vaccine:

I have just one wee, tiny quibble, Sir. There are over 37 Million Canadians, 125,000 is NOT more than 1%, it’s more like ⅓ of 1% …

… but that’s picking the fly sh!t out of the pepper, as we used to say in the Army, isn’t it, and it’s not your job, after all, to correct arithmetic, is it, Sir?

Major-General Dany Fortin to take command of new NATO Mission in Iraq – The Maple Leaf

But I have a suggestion … how about you challenge Major General Dany Fortin to do better. How about you say to him, “General, I’m giving you as much money as you can, reasonably, use and I’m giving you authority to bend a few bureaucratic and contracting rules here and there, but I want 75%+ of Canadians to be vaccinated before Canada Day.” You know what, Sir? I’ll bet he’ll rise to the challenge. I’ll bet he’ll “Get ‘er done” as we also used to say in the Army.

So here’s what I propose, Sir …

… let’s get a few people vaccinated before the end of this year; let’s get 15% of Canadians “jabbed” by, end of April and let’s have most Canadians vaccinated before Canada Day. I know it will be hard. I would never ask you and your staff to do anything like that … but General Fortin seems like an adult who is, probably, up for the challenge.
