Congratulations to President-elect Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. and Vice-President-elect Kamala Devi Harris …
… for having won (unofficially, until December, and always subject to legal challenge) the election for President of the United States.

Congratulation, too, to almost 150 Million Americans for voting. I hope we Canadians will match and even exceed your participation rate (somewhere between 66 and 70%) in our next general election. I’m sad to say that in 2019 only 67% of us turned out to vote, which is still better than most elections since 1990.
Congratulation to all those state and local officials who managed all those different elections ~ and there were hundreds, more likely thousands thousands of different ballots ~ in a generally free and fair manner. Were there some problems and a bit of chicanery? Of course. But can anyone remember an election, anywhere, in which there were none?
