Editorial cartoonist Tim Dolighan, drawing in the Toronto Sun, seems, to me, to perfectly capture Jagmeet Singh’s dilemma:

The New Democrats are NOT ready for an election. Neither, in my opinion, is the Conservative Party, but it is in far, far better shape than is the fourth party in Parliament. Thus, the Tories can bluster and threaten and bring the country to the brink of an unwanted, unnecessary and (possibly) dangerous election having some confidence in the fact that the NDP will, most likely, have to put its principles aside and support the apparently corrupt* Liberals as they continue to try to cover-up the whole WE Charity scandal.

* I say “apparently corrupt” because we cannot know for sure until the facts are made public ~ as I am certain they will be, either legally and properly or because an honest, ethical Liberal MP or insider (and there are plenty of each) or by a disgruntled civil servant, who is sick and tired of being used as a prop by lying Liberal ministers. We know that Justin Trudeau has repeatedly broken the ethical rules; we don’t know, yet, if he is a crook.
