Arrant nonsense

So, I see, in the Globe and Mail, that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has, finally, broken his silence on the latest act of vandalism by the cancel culture movement: the wanton and I believe planned* destruction of a statue of Sir John A Macdonald in Montreal.

Justin Trudeau condemns 'vandalism' but warns of 'culture wars' after destruction of John A. Macdonald statue | The Star

But rather than coming out and condemning vandalism, as grown-ups, like Conservative leader Erin O’Toole and Montreal Mayor Valerie Plante did …

… the prime minister hemmed and hawed and tried to find excuses for criminal acts, saying (in French) that those ~ like Mr O’Toole, Alberta Premier Kenney and Mayor Plante and others ~ who stand against violence and vandalism in our streets are, somehow, ““trying to start culture wars and divide Canadians on issues such as that.”

What nonsense.

There are serious social problem that have led good people into the streets to protest against e.g. the legacy of residential schools and the killing to too many young black men …

… and all Canadians of good will need to think about and address those issues. But wanton vandalism is not the answer to anything, and attempting to appease the vandals and condemn those who oppose vandalism in the interests of securing the votes of a large number of youngish suburbanites is beyond contempt.

What Prime Minister Trudeau said was stupid … but it’s about what we’ve come to expect from him, isn’t it? What’s more worrisome is the ideology of the people who pull his strings. I think,,by now, that we almost all know that Justin Trudeau has some difficulty keeping two ideas straight at the same time; someone programmes him ~ decides what he “thinks” and feeds him his scripted lines ~ and that someone has an agenda which is, I believe, not in Canada’s best interests. I suspect that the ideology of Trudeau’s handlers is what aims to give us the Global Compact on Migration and, eventually, a world government.

Those who care about Canada must join with Premier Kenney, Mayor Plante and Mr O’Tool and condemn these acts of politically motivated vandalism and take Canada back from the globalist ideologues.

* I watched the videos. I think the vandals came with a plan and the equipment needed to topple the statue. The action wasn’t spontaneous.
