Further to my earlier post, today, about why I’m guessing Justin Trudeau will want to go to the polls as soon as he can ~ and my guess is that early Fall is as soon as the Liberals can be ready ~ look at this most recent polling from Leger:
That’s not just a majority government, that’s a potential landslide. Justin Trudeau got a solid majority in 2015 with 39.5% of the popular vote; Stephen Harper won an equally solid majority in 2011 with 39.6%; Jean Chrétien won a big majority (177 out of 295 seats) in 1993 with 41.2% and the last time anyone got more than 44% was when Brian Mulroney won a true landslide in 1984, that’s 36 years ago, with 50% of the popular vote.
