Exactly right

Bruce McKinnon, drawing in the Halifax Chronicle Herald, gets the impeachment process exactly right:

As I said a couple of weeks ago:

  • The House will vote to impeach the president;
  • There will be both joy and outrage on the streets ~ and likely violence, even armed violence, too, when the joyful and the outraged meet, as they surely will;
  • The United States Senate will not convict President Trump … no matter what the evidence might be; and
  • The Democrats will pick a candidate who cannot beat President Trump in 2020 and he will be re-elected.

Nothing in the articles of impeachment nor in the state of Democratic politics gives me any reason to change my mind. I stick with my prediction that we are in for an interesting few years in the Excited States of America.

  1. The Dems have a few good people coming up (Not AOC) such as Tulsi Gabbard, invest in them and let the old guard wither away.

    1. I agree, but I don’t think that can or will happen until after they are beaten again (2020), and again (2024). I suspect the Democrats are going throigh, now, what the GOP went through when, first, the Tea Party and then the Trump Party arose in response to the the Bush (41 & 43) era of so-called ‘Big Gov’t Conservatism.’
