It pretty much sums up what tomorrow is all about. A few days ago I made the point that, in my opinion, tomorrow isn’t about veterans. We, veterans, grow old, age does weary us and the years do condemn and that’s why we can hobble to the cenotaph and get over ourselves for just two minutes ~ some of us can, anyway ~ and remember those who “grow not old.”

I said, about three years ago, that I believe that we, Canadians, ought to have a Veterans’  Day, just like the Americans do. We can have a Veterans’ Day and a Veterans’ Week,  even a Veterans’ Month and Veterans’ Week sales in the malls, if that’s what the veterans’ industry wants, but let’s have it in May, six months from now … and leave a damp, cold November 11th alone … to remember.
