So, in Business Insider, I see that this is the justification that US President Donald J Trump uses for allowing Turkish President Recep Erdoğan to unleash his forces against the Kurds: “President Donald Trump on Wednesday defended his decision to abandon the Kurds to a Turkish military incursion in Syria by saying they didn’t help the US during World War II … “They didn’t help us in the Second World War; they didn’t help us with Normandy,” Trump said of the Kurds. He added, “With all of that being said, we like the Kurds.”“
I also saw this, on social media …
… and this: the faces of the Kurdish fighters who helped us, and “us” means the USA and Canada, too, to defeat Da’esh/ISIL/ISIS:
These are the people upon whom Donald Trump has allowed the Turkish army to be unleashed.
Donald Trump is a disgrace.
I know that many of my friends, including friends in the USA and in Canada, are Trump Party supporters ~ and I can understand why they are disillusioned with traditional Republicans and all Democrats and, here in Canada, with both Justin Trudeau and Andrew Scheer. But Donald Trump is not the answer. He is an intellectually weak bully who, almost instinctively, sides with autocrats against freedom fighters.
Edited to add: But, as usual, when Donald Trump shoots his mouth off he’s full of you know what. I didn’t know this, but …
… and …
So, Trump screws uo, again. He’s America’s version of Justin Trudeau: a bungling incompetent with no business being in office.
