I’m sorry to say that former (very briefly) Prime Minister Kim Campbell (no relation, as far as I know) has accomplished nothing except to embarrass herself, the Conservative Party and Canada with her ill-chosen words about President Trump.
President Trump may be, certainly is, a lot of things; I believe that I have described him as being a foul mouthed bully, a semi-literate buffoon and worse but without resorting to copying the back alley ‘language’ of an American legislator who also achieved 15 seconds of ‘fame’ for using the ‘great Australian adjective (the ‘F-bomb) in public.
Shame on you Prime Minister Campbell and, while I’m at it, shame on recently elected US Representative Rashida Tlaib, of Detroit for using such language in public. You are both educated, accomplished, literate people; you are both able to express yourselves using short, sharp, pithy and perhaps even memorable words … if you would only stop and think and not rely on shock value to make your points.
And just what were you points? Ms Tlaib seems to want to impeach President Trump for some unenumerated “high crimes and misdemeanours.” proof of which the US Constitution requires to impeach a president; and Kim Campbell seems to oppose the President’s desire to build a wall along the United States’ border with Mexico. Both notions could have been expressed without resorting to the language of the gutter.
