If the reports I read are correct and if I understand them correctly then, in August of this year, Medhat Oweida announced his campaign to be the Conservative Party of Canada candidate in the Riding of Mississauga Streetsville.
This same Medhat Oweide appears to be one of the editors of (or a contributor to) Arham Canada, the Arabic-Canadian news site linked above.
Now it is reported, by one source, that Arham-Canada “just published an antisemitic conspiracy theory that definitely wins points for originality.” The story suggests that “The Jewish Freemasons built the giant Titanic ship and charged it with the fictional costs, only to kill three businessmen, who built it with a magnificent construction, to drag them on board, and then sink them into the ocean floor and bury the secret with them for ever. The [businessmen were against] the idea of creating the Federal Reserve! They loved to be rid of them in order to pave the way for the new world order.“
If that source is correct and if Mehat Oweide is associated with it then I think the Conservative Party of Canada needs to tell him he cannot run for office and revoke his Party membership or Mr Oweide needs to disavow Arham-Canada and end his association with it.
The Conservative Party needs to strengthen and deepen its ties with Canada’s ethnic communities, especially with the Muslim-Canadian communities, but when it does so it must eschew all those who preach anti-semitism in any and all of its forms.
