What we ‘need’

So, according to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, as quoted by multiple media sources, “there is no need to conduct an investigation into an allegation that he inappropriately touched a female reporter in British Columbia 18 years ago … [and] … “We have, as we always do, taken these issues seriously,” Trudeau said in an exclusive interview with CP24, when asked if the allegation that circulated throughout the national press over the last few weeks should be investigated. “We’ve talked to a broad range of experts on these. I’ve been reflecting very carefully on this and I think we are moving forward in the right way.”

imageWell, that a HUGE relief isn’t it? I mean we needed an investigation into Kent Hehr’s misconduct, which seemed patrick_brown_61625372-e1516882417615very similar, and we would have needed an investigation into Patrick Brown’s conduct before he was hounded out of office … except, of course, that he’s a Conservative and therefore his guilt can be safely assumed. But we, quite clearly, don’t need to investigate the ‘Kokanee grope‘ because … well, because Justin Trudeau takes these things seriously and he has talked to experts and he’s “been reflecting” and he thinks we ~ that’s all Canadians, I guess ~ are “moving forward in the right way.” So, there’s nothing to see here, let’s just move along, folks, change the channel and so on …

Of course if Justin Trudeau had even the slightest shred of personal honour and integrity he would have, already resigned from his office and from the cabinet and would be sitting, right now, a a back-bench Liberal MP. And he would remain on the Liberal back-benches after any fair or even remotely proper investigation because the complainant has said, again, that it happened and it was inappropriate and the 28 year old Justin Trudeau knew it was inappropriate … he must have: why else would he have apologized?

But fear not, Canada … that will not be allowed to happen.

trudeau-6Justin Trudeau is safe because the Laurentian Elites almost literally venerate the name Trudeau … Pierre Elliot Trudeau, the man who changed Canada, is the closest thing we have to a secular saint. No matter what dumb things Justin Trudeau may have done many years ago and no mater what even dumber things he may do today nothing will be allowed to stick because those Laurentian Elites, who were barely teenagers when Saint Pierre came to power in 1968 will not allow his name to be tarnished. Justin Trudeau is fireproof because his name is Trudeau … he ~ his name, anyway ~ must be protected at all costs.

So, Canada, we don’t need any investigations … nothing untoward happened in Creston, British Columbia 18 years ago … the lady in question just experienced something different, that’s all, and since Justin’s version is gospel she must be wrong, or irrelevant or something.

  1. The Teflon’esque reverence for the Trudeau name echoes the thinking surrounding any potential public fallout regarding all Disney operations — “nothing harms the Mouse” [as discussed in Condoleezza Rice & Amy Zegart’s _Political Risk: How Businesses and Organizations Can Anticipate Global Insecurity_ (2018)]
