Today we remember the soldiers of the 27th Commonwealth Brigade who, in April 1951, as their allies collapsed under Chinese pressure, help the vital Kapyong Valley in Korea.


Eventually even the 3rd Battalion of the Royal Australian Regiment had to pull back leaving only the 2nd Battalion of the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry to hold back the Chinese … which they did over several days of ferocious fighting.
