Worth repeating …

This very much bears repeating, over and over again, especially in Canada. Garnet Wolseley Barracks 11mediumWolseley, after whom historic Wolseley Barracks in London Ontario is named, was a distinguished soldier who spent many years in Canada, spearheading military reforms here, before becoming a field marshal and (from 1895 to 1901) Commander-in-Chief of the Forces ~ the professional head of the British Army. Field Marshal Wolseley was well known for his reforms which aimed to promote combat effectiveness and operational and organizational efficiency.

Wolseley was, of course, speaking to the British people about British cabinets but it applies, in spades, to Canada in the 21st century, too.
