Ships, again … a bit more on Project Resolve

Thanks to our friend Colin on Army.ca, here are three pictures of the Asterix ~ the fleet support ship being built by Davie in Quebec and, reportedly, the cause of Vice Admiral Norman’s woes … they show the stern, the bridge and a cabin:

The first two show the ship under construction and we can see that there is still lots of work to be done and things to be fitted. The cabin picture is, I guess, “staged” to show how a cabin might look when the ship is finished.

  1. Better to give Davies the contract for the follow on Naval Support Vessel also based on conversion of the Cecon Pride that they built in 2014. Also check out their Project Resolute ice breaker conversion proposal that is a mere fraction of the price of new ship builds from Irving or Seaspan.
