Dealing with China (2)

A few days ago I commented an Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s trip to China and I illustrated it with a cartoon by David Perkins.

Well, Mr Perkins, drawing in the Globe and Mail, has outdone himself with this one:


My fear is that the CPC campaign team was right and our prime minister is “just not ready” for the kind of diplomatic and political hardball that the Chinese play.

Notwithstanding my personal views about Prime Minister Trudeau’s fitness for his high office or his ability to deal, effectively, with the Chinese, I, along with all thinking Canadians of every political stripe, must wish him well on this important visit to a major world power:
